This symposium serves as a platform for educators, researchers, students and practitioners to exchange innovative practices, ideas, strategies, and research that advance the teaching and learning of art in primary and early childhood education settings.

The event will feature keynote speeches from leading experts in art education and panel discussions that address topics such as:
The impact of art education on cognitive and social-emotional growth.
Strategies for integrating cultural diversity and inclusion into early art curricula.
Innovative approaches to fostering creativity through digital and traditional media.
Provocative approaches to climate change and sustainability with/through art education.
The role of art education in lifelong learning pathways beginning in early childhood.
Innovative approaches to teacher training.
Invited Presenters
Dr. Geraldine Burke, Senior Lecturer, Monash University, Australia. She is passionate about art-based educational research and is currently co-leader of the Art-Creativity-Education Faculty Research Group at Monash Faculty of Education. She teaches creative art units in early childhood and primary education.
Dr. Sue Girak is a primary art teacher and a teaching associate in pre-service art teacher education in Western Australia and Monash University. She encourages collaborative artmaking and environmentally sustainable art practices in the classroom and is committed to applying arts-led research to give children greater autonomy in their artmaking.
