Overview

CANVAS 2025 is an international symposium designed to bring together artists, educators, researchers, and students across the university and VET sectors to explore how art education can shape a future of creativity, collaboration, and career readiness. The name CANVAS reflects the symposium’s mission: to offer a shared creative space where new ideas can be “painted,” networks can be formed, and future-ready pathways for learners can be imagined.

Presentation Guidelines

・15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A

・English language delivery

・Option to consent to recorded presentations for shared viewing post-event


【Keynote Guest Presenter】
Title: “Pixels, Possibilities, and Pedagogy: AI's Emerging Art Education Revolution”


Dr Zoran Poposki is Associate Head (Visual Arts) of the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Education University of Hong Kong, and is an internationally acclaimed transdisciplinary artist, curator, and researcher working in the fields of practice-based research, visual semiotics, social practice, digital visual culture, and arts leadership.

• Presentation can be registered at this site.
• Details of the presentation schedule and zoom link will be sent via email after all presentations have registered.

Registration Fee
•  Professional ticket with presentation: 6000JPY
•  Student ticket with presentation: 4000JPY
•  Viewer/audience without presentation: Free

※ If you plan to present your paper, please register on this site and submit your abstract and consent forms using the forms below.

【Abstract】
• The abstract needs to provide a brief but comprehensive summary of the contents of your presentation and images.
• The abstract should to be in 2 pages with the above abstract format (the Word file).

【Publishing】
• All abstracts will be published as conference proceeding documents at a later date following the symposium.
• Your Presentation will be recorded and published on an online viewing space later.
• For the publication and the video viewing, the first author must submit a consent form with your abstract, which includes agreement from all co-authors, and sign it.
